Day/Week/Month Not Visible in Calendar from Folder

I loaded a shared calendar from a folder in addition to my personal calendar, and both show up, however I can only change the view on my personal calendar, it will not allow me to put the shared calendar from the folders into Month view.

Was there ever any solution for this? I have my calendar up in monthly view but can only get my co-workers to show in daily view.
