Settings not remembered at restart and Day/Week/Month buttons missing

I have two issues - I have set up two instances with one different calendars (because overlay is not available). On restart (after I deal with error message I reported in a different post) the calendar folder setting is not saved, and both instances show the same folder.
When I choose a different folder, the buttons to change between Day/Work Week/Week/Month view disappear.
Because there is no button to go to a different day outside the current view, It would be helpful to switch to month view easily in order to jump to a different week.
Please assist - I would like to be able to use your product to allow quicker entry into my calendar.

Hey Ginny,
as for the settings not saving, can you try closing OotD and configuring your view the way you want it in Outlook itself, then open OotD and see if it shows it the way you want it? It's a known issue that customizing the views within OotD will not stick, but there isn't a whole lot I can do about it.
As for the disappearing buttons. I'll take a look.
